Overview of Hosting Your Own CoolTea Event

Since the late 1990s, CoolTea has been successfully hosting a variety of structured business networking events (e.g., conferences, expos, panels, workshops) and un-structured business networking events (e.g, after-work mixers) throughout the Fairfield and Westchester County CT/NY corridor.

Along the way we invented web technology (e.g., Ihave Iwant mini classified ads with online registration/rsvp) and event methodologies (e.g., social props, fun committees) that have made CoolTea events unique and effective.

Around 2001, CoolTea started providing event registration services for others such as The Westchester Country Bankers Association, The Westchester Alliance of Legal and Financial Professionals, and The Fairchester Communications Council.

Today CoolTea is pleased to offer the best of both worlds (turnkey event registration services with proven, branded event models) and now provides event licenses so you can host your own CoolTea event at the time, place, and venue of your choice.

Below is an outline of the types of CoolTea events we currently offer plus an overview of what's involved.

Types of Events You Can Host

The following are CoolTea branded events, each of which has a different set of characteristics that appeal to different audiences:
  • MixedBrews - these are large (e.g., 100-400 attendees), theme-based, unstructured networking events hosted after work (e.g., typically from 6-8PM in a restaurant or club setting); Part of this model includes an exciting raffle table, fun event theme, fun committee, raffle patrollers, music, plus more; They can be hosted as free event or admission only - your call!

  • CoolTea Talks - after work panel presentations with experts that features light networking in a structured environment; Typically attracts 30-50 people depending on subject, reputation of panel experts, are fee-based and food is optional.

  • GoBoardRoom Luncheons - similar to the CoolTea Talk evening panels but hosted during lunch and feature audio interviews of experts podcasted in advance of luncheon; Audio CDs can be arranged as take-homes for attendees.

  • Blog and Dine Dinners - gourmet foods, unstructured networking, with an event blog hosted in advance of event to build buzz, awareness, and excitement for attendees pre-and-post event.

  • Expoganzas - mini-trade shows that are a mix of workshops, panel presentations, round-tables, interactive group elements that are industry centric (e.g., music industry) that attract a wide variety of industry stakeholders.

  • NetworkingU - akin to our CoolTea Talk model but hosted in partnership with Colleges and Universities; Great model for business community to network and learn with University leaders and students - e.g., one NetworkingU event hosted at a Business School resulted in a $44 million deal for a panel expert!
